Finding the Perfect LED Mirror for Your Space

Choosing the right LED mirror for your bathroom is more than just picking a shape you like — it's about finding a piece that complements your space, suits your daily routine, and stands the test of time. At Lunarglow Mirrors, we've helped thousands of Australian homeowners transform their bathrooms with our premium smart mirrors. Here's everything you need to know before you buy.

Why an LED Mirror?

LED bathroom mirrors have become the gold standard in modern bathroom design — and for good reason. Unlike traditional mirrors, LED mirrors offer built-in, energy-efficient lighting that eliminates shadows and provides true-colour illumination for grooming, makeup, and skincare. Add smart features like Bluetooth connectivity, anti-fog technology, and adjustable colour temperature, and you've got a bathroom upgrade that genuinely improves your daily life.

Step 1: Consider Your Bathroom Size and Layout

The first thing to think about is the size and shape of your bathroom. A large, statement mirror can make a small bathroom feel more open and airy, while an oversized mirror in a compact space can feel overwhelming. As a general rule, your mirror should be slightly narrower than your vanity — typically within 5–10 cm on each side.

Step 2: Choose the Right Shape

Shape has a huge impact on the overall feel of your bathroom. Here's how our four signature mirrors compare:

Arcadia Arch — The Statement Piece ($540)

The Arcadia Arch features a distinctive arched silhouette that brings architectural elegance to any bathroom. It's the perfect choice if you want your mirror to be the centrepiece of the room — ideal for feature walls, freestanding vanities, and bathrooms with high ceilings. With a 4.84-star average rating from 43 reviews, customers consistently praise its dramatic visual impact and premium finish.

Best for: Bathrooms with a contemporary, Hamptons, or boutique hotel aesthetic.

Eclipse Round — The Classic ($560)

The Eclipse Round is a timeless circle mirror that works beautifully in almost any bathroom style. Round mirrors soften the hard lines of tiles and cabinetry, creating a balanced, harmonious look. It's our most versatile design — equally at home in a minimalist ensuite or a bold, maximalist powder room. Rated 4.85 stars from 41 reviews, it's a customer favourite for its clean lines and premium LED performance.

Best for: Minimalist, Scandi, or transitional bathrooms — and anyone who loves a classic look that never dates.

Nexus Oval — Understated Luxury ($560)

The Nexus Oval sits between the arch and the circle — offering the softness of a round mirror with a slightly more elongated, portrait-oriented silhouette. It's a sophisticated choice that adds height to a space without the bold drama of the arch. With a 4.83-star rating from 36 reviews, customers love its elegant proportions and how it suits both compact and generous bathroom spaces.

Best for: Narrow vanities, ensuites, and bathrooms where you want a refined, understated look.

Aura Rectangular — The Modern Classic ($540)

The Aura Rectangular (900 × 700 mm) is our answer to the clean, structured look that suits contemporary and industrial-style bathrooms perfectly. Its generous proportions make it ideal for double vanities or wide single vanities, offering a broad, unobstructed reflection that's as practical as it is stylish. The rectangular silhouette pairs beautifully with square tiles, straight-edged cabinetry, and modern tapware.

Best for: Contemporary, industrial, or modern farmhouse bathrooms — and anyone who prefers clean lines and a larger mirror surface.

Step 3: Think About Smart Features

All Lunarglow mirrors come loaded with smart technology designed to make your bathroom routine easier and more enjoyable:

Adjustable LED lighting: Switch between warm and cool colour temperatures to suit the time of day or your mood — perfect for morning routines and evening wind-downs.
Anti-fog technology: No more wiping down your mirror after a hot shower. Our built-in demister pad keeps your mirror crystal clear.
Bluetooth connectivity: Stream music, podcasts, or guided meditations directly through your mirror's built-in speaker while you get ready.

Step 4: Check Your Wall Space and Installation Requirements

Before purchasing, measure your wall space carefully and check that you have access to a power point nearby (or are happy to have one installed by an electrician). Our mirrors are designed for straightforward wall mounting, and we include a comprehensive installation guide with every purchase. If you're considering the Aura Rectangular, make sure you have at least 900 mm of horizontal wall space above your vanity.

Step 5: Consider Your Budget

All four Lunarglow mirrors are priced between $540 and $560 — a modest difference for a product you'll use every single day. We'd encourage you to choose based on the shape and style that best suits your bathroom rather than price alone. Every mirror comes with our 3-year warranty and free shipping across Australia, so you can buy with complete confidence.
